Mandalay Job Nation

On 10 November JobNet presents Job Nation Mandalay at the fabulous Mandalay Hilton Hotel.  Building on the success of last year’s Mandalay job fair, and acting on feedback from employers and job seekers, Job Nation is a full-house event designed to bring Mandalay’s top companies and Job Seekers together.

In addition to meeting great companies, Job Seekers will attend educating and motivating presentations and panel discussions, have the opportunity to boost their professional network and gain insight into workplaces they may or may not already be curious about.

Our event team is ready to help our sponsor companies make the most of this opportunity. We’re experienced at helping companies stand out from the crowd and promote their unique employer brand. We’re already working with many on their booth layout and displays, producing videos and presentations that showcase the many reasons they are the best companies to work for.

EIGHT TOP TIPS FOR EXHIBITING COMPANIES

1. Set up an eye-catching booth that will attract job seekers.

Have an attention-grabbing display that will make people more likely to stop by and visit your booth. The more Job Seekers you engage with, the greater your talent pool will be at the end of that day.

2. Bring interesting and informative materials.

Job Seekers can learn almost everything about your company with a quick Google search. Make their time at the job fair worthwhile by offering information they couldn't easily find elsewhere. For instance, if your website doesn't show any visuals of the physical workspace, bring a laptop to the job fair and play a slideshow or video that offers Job Seekers a virtual tour of the office.

3. Two-way communication.

Have your team poised and ready to chat. Maybe include some interactive aspects that encourage people to come into your space and learn more about your brand personality.

4. Take to the stage.

Job Nation features an event stage where companies have the opportunity to talk to the crowd as one. Our event managers are ready to help with topics and presentation ideas.

5. Clearly identify the job vacancies that you are recruiting for.

Break the ice by advertising your top jobs and strike up a conversation about the roles on offer.

6. Be open to candidates from all backgrounds and sectors.

If a candidate is already employed, this is a chance to casually assess their transferable skills and find out more about them than what their CV is telling you.

7. Showcase your best employees on the day

No one can sell your business better than your own people, especially the ones who are engaged and proud to talk about their company. We know that positivity attracts positivity, so this is a chance to attract like-minded people to your business.

8. Don’t just refer candidates to your website.

Your website probably has lots of information, but as stated previously, Job Seekers are coming to Job Nation to meet new employers and interact. Tell them about your company in your own words; don’t just rely on your carefully crafted content.
