Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

We are looking for a highly driven and hands-on Cross-Border Operations & Market Intelligence Executive to support and grow our barge and waterway transport business between Ranong and Yangon.
This role is responsible for two core functions:
Shipment execution – managing and coordinating cross-border shipments from planning to completion.
Market intelligence – actively monitoring the market, customer activity, cargo opportunities, pricing movements, and operational changes when there is no live shipment. The ideal candidate must have a strong ownership mindset, move fast, solve problems independently, and focus on getting the job done instead of making excuses.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Execution
• Coordinate and execute cross-border barge / waterway shipments between Ranong and Yangon.
• Manage the full shipment process from inquiry, planning, booking, documentation, cargo readiness, loading, sailing, arrival, and delivery.
• Liaise with internal teams, customers, agents, transporters, port operators, customs brokers, and service providers.
• Ensure all shipping and operational documents are accurate and submitted on time.
• Monitor cargo movement, vessel/barge schedules, port status, and shipment milestones.
• Identify operational risks early and take immediate action to avoid delays, extra cost, or service failure.
• Provide timely updates to customers and internal teams on shipment status and operational issues.
• Resolve day-to-day operational challenges quickly and practically.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Monitoring
• Continuously monitor the market for cross-border cargo opportunities, customer demand, competitor activities, route developments, pricing, and capacity movements.
• Track who is moving cargo, how they are moving it, what service model they are using, and where opportunities exist for our company.
• Gather intelligence from the market through customers, agents, partners, transporters, ports, and industry contacts.
• Provide immediate market updates to management and the team when there are important changes, risks, or opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on market trends, competitor movements, pricing benchmarks, and business opportunities.
• Recommend practical actions based on market findings.
Business Support
• Support the team in preparing quotations, operational solutions, and service proposals.
• Help develop new business opportunities by identifying target customers, commodities, and trade flows.
• Maintain up-to-date information on trade lane conditions, service feasibility, and operating requirements.
• Contribute to improving SOPs, shipment planning processes, and internal coordination.
