Key Responsibilities
A. Project Planning & Execution

• Lead end-to-end civil engineering project execution from groundwork to completion
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for constructability
• Prepare project execution plans, method statements, and work schedules
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors

B. Construction Management

• Supervise site construction activities including earthworks, foundations, structural works, roads, drainage, and finishing
• Ensure proper implementation of design specifications and technical standards
• Monitor daily site progress and resolve technical issues
• Control material usage and minimize wastage

C. Quality Control & Safety

• Implement QA/QC procedures for all civil works
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits
• Enforce safety standards and accident prevention measures

D. Project Coordination

• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and consultants
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for material delivery
• Attend project meetings and provide technical updates
• Manage contractor performance and certifications

E. Cost & Budget Control

• Monitor project cost against budget
• Evaluate BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and variations
• Support procurement in technical evaluation of materials and suppliers
• Approve site measurements and progress billing

F. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead site engineers, supervisors, and technical staff
• Provide technical guidance and on-site training
• Assign tasks and monitor workforce productivity
• Ensure discipline and performance standards at site level

Position Overview

The Chief Engineer (Civil) is responsible for leading all civil engineering activities across development projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure works. The role ensures that all construction works are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards, design specifications, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BE/B.Tech or equivalent)
• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in civil construction projects
• At least 3–5 years in a senior engineering / leadership role
• Experience in large-scale building or infrastructure projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of structural design, construction methods, and materials

Technical Skills

• Project management and site execution
• AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera (preferred)
• Strong understanding of BOQ, cost estimation, and tendering
• Knowledge of QA/QC systems and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and decision-making ability
• Problem-solving and crisis management on-site
• Good communication with multi-disciplinary teams
• High level of responsibility and accountability
