Responsibilities

Part of Commercial team responsible for all commercial and risk activities including preparing presentations, reports and analysis for senior management, maintaining and updating risk register of Company. The role will require active participation including dealing with SMPC management team, personnel from Head office in Singapore (Group) among other responsibilities as briefly described below.

Commercial:

  • Support the operationalization of all project agreements including financing documents, EPC agreement, PPA, LTSA to ensure contractual compliance and protect Company’s commercial interests.
  • To prepare various corporate presentations on matters related management reports / analysis, Board approvals and any other such requests of senior management.
  • To perform role of centralized department collating all necessary information for management review / Company performance on monthly basis.
  • To play pivotal role of being part of team interacting with external stakeholders including Lenders, customer etc.
  • To support Finance team in closely monitoring the obligations under its various Loan agreements and facilitate coordination meetings with Lenders.
  • To liaise with concerned executives at Group/Singapore HQ for reporting performance of Company and other requests from Group.
  • To Generate (using Fuel Demand Model and Excel invoicing template) monthly energy invoice and coordinate the approval of such invoice to ensure timely issuance to customer

Risk management: 

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders for identifying and monitoring risks for each department. Following up with various risk control owners to ensure management action plans are implemented on schedule
  • Developing and updating risk register in line with requirements laid down by Group.
  • Responsible for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Integrated Assurance Framework (IAF).
  • Responsible for reporting, planning and management of all risks and insurances
  • Risk recommendation (from risk surveys) follow up and implementation
  • Insurance pre-placement, such as crafting renewal placement strategies, collecting and revalidating underwriting information, revalidate risk profiles and lenders’ compliances
  • Insurance placements, such as checking policy contract terms and seek management approvals.
  • Insurance post-placement, such as policy document maintenance, check issuance of insurance certificates, premium payments, material information update, declarations, consents, waivers and claims management.
  • Prepare and consolidate cross functional inputs for all management reports and internal risk reports 
  • Monthly / quarterly / yearly reporting of risk and mitigations to Group.
  • Any other tasks assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in working at MNC / overseas will be preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English.
  • Analytical and critical thinking.
  • Experience in making corporate presentations and dealing with senior management, external stakeholders etc.
  • Experience in the power and utilities related field is highly preferable.
  • Advanced Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point.
  • Presentation skill and strong Analytical skills is required
  • Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving and strong commercial mindset with a proactive attitude.
