Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

The One World International School (OWIS) is a Cambridge curriculum school in Yangon offering primary through to IGCSE and A-Level programmes. We are looking for an experienced, reliable person to manage the non-academic side of the school. This is a hands-on role. You will lead operations, HR, and admissions, and oversee the sales and marketing team to ensure targets are met. You will work closely with the school leadership day to day and report on important matters.

Responsibilities:

Operations & Admin

  • Day-to-day facilities, vendors, supplies, transport, and general admin
  • Government offices, licenses, and local compliance
  • School environment maintenance and safety
  • Logistics for school events, exams, and activities

HR & Staff

  • Recruitment and contracts for non-teaching local staff
  • Attendance, leave, staff welfare, and minor HR matters
  • Staff records and documents
  • Myanmar labour law compliance

Admissions & Sales

  • Respond to parent enquiries and follow up through admissions
  • Support open days and school visits
  • Oversee the admissions and sales team, monitor performance, and report results to leadership

Job Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years experience in operations, admin, or office management
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a school is highly preferred; hospitality, NGO, or service environment will be considered
  • Comfortable leading operations, HR, and admissions in one role
  • Familiar with Myanmar labour law and basic HR practices
  • Strong communication skills — able to deal with parents, staff, vendors, and government offices professionally
  • Good English — written and spoken
  • Dependable, organised, calm under pressure, and solution oriented
  • Able to work independently without close supervision
  • Myanmar nationals strongly encouraged to apply
