Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

  • Manage and supervise daily housekeeping operations.
  • Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean and well maintained.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor room cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff.
  • Prepare staff duty rosters and schedules.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of housekeeping employees.
  • Ensure proper teamwork and communication within the department.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Ensure hotel cleanliness standards meet brand and guest expectations.
  • Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping services.
  • Manage housekeeping inventory including linen, uniforms, cleaning equipment, and supplies.
  • Control departmental expenses and budgets.
  • Coordinate with procurement for purchasing housekeeping materials.
  • Supervise laundry operations including linen washing, drying, and distribution.
  • Ensure proper linen management and loss prevention.
  • Ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Implement workplace safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and government regulations.
  • Coordinate with Front Office for room availability and guest requests.
  • Work closely with Maintenance for repair and maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with HR for staffing and training needs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in housekeeping operations.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role in a hotel or resort.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Budget and inventory management skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Familiar with hotel management systems (PMS).
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Email).
