Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

To manage, oversee and lead Core Operations sections and to assist Head of Core operations in term of coordinating and collaborating with intra department in-charges and Inter division responsible persons in Operation related matters. And oversee the following operation areas: (not limited to) 

  • Cash Operation 
  • Treasury Operation 
  • DC & Card Operations 
  • Payment & Settlement Operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulate the operation process flow for new product in collaborating with Product team.
  • Develop and update SOP, that align product feature and operational risk guidelines, in considering of Customer service and optimized operational process flow
  • Coordinate with Branch Operation, Consumer Banking and Product team to optimize the existing process flow, SOPs and SLAs.
  • Develop, update, implement and maintain effective control environment/segregation of duties
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis for effective monitoring and control on Cash Position, Net Open Position, Reserve Requirement Ratio etc..
  • Institute an escalation mechanism to flag exceptions
  • Address and resolve team members’ questions and issues, and oversee the team member work for quality and guideline compliance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and Bank’s policies, procedures and standards with prompt intervention to resolve problems/ concern areas when needed
  • Develop strategies to promote team member adherence to laws, regulations, code of conducts, best practices and performance goals (KPI, SLA), motivate team members and assess performance
  • Act as coach and role model for professionalism and teamwork, and support team members’ professional growth 
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

  • Master Banking of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Management, Commerce, and/or industry specific qualifications. CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or in financial institutions and at least 3- year experience in executive level.
  • Experience in the Payment & Settlement of Mobile Financial Service sector is a plus
  • High competency in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Power BI
  • Technical and process knowledge of complex practices and procedures of Payment and Settlement Operation, Treasury operation, CBM-Net & Clearing Operation and Cash Operation
  • Expertise in CBS system (Finastra), OPICS and Card Management System
  • Sound and effective interpersonal & communication skills in both Myanmar and English languages.
