Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

Oversee the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of all mechanical and electrical terminal equipment, including silo systems, conveyors, elevators, discharge hoppers, and warehouse machinery.
Manage the operation, maintenance, and fuel efficiency of the terminal's power generation systems (Gensets) and electrical distribution networks to ensure an uninterrupted power supply for 24/7 operations.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Operations to align maintenance schedules with vessel loading/discharging plans, ensuring minimal disruption to cargo movements and truck arrangements.
Develop and manage the annual M&E expenses, maintenance budget, spare parts inventory, and Diesel Stock management in coordination with Finance department.
Communicate with regulatory bodies for the licensing, auditing, and statutory compliance of lifting, pressure, and electrical equipment and fire fighting equipment.
Lead, mentor, and manage the M&E technical team, including engineers, technicians, and electricians, to provide reliable 24/7 maintenance support.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical breakdowns and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement long-term corrective actions and prevent recurring failures.
Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies,silos safety, and environmental regulations. 9. Follow up on any other matters instructed by management regarding terminal expansion, new equipment commissioning, or strategic planning.
Maintain accurate asset registers, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs.
Ensure the safe interface between terminal machinery and vessels, supporting the Operations team during ship complaints or equipment-related protests.
Support setting up Company Policy with Management’s requirements regarding engineering standards, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Electrical Engineering, OR Mechatronics, OR Other related field.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in M&E maintenance, with proven expertise in heavy industry, port terminals, or bulk cargo handling facilities.
Strong technical knowledge of heavy mechanical equipment (conveyors, pneumatic systems) and industrial electrical systems (PLC, high/low voltage panels, Gensets).
Proficient in Business English (Written and Verbal) and high-level computer skills.
Deep understanding of industrial HSE standards, specifically electrical safety, machinery safety, and environmental regulations.
Ability to effectively communicate with operations teams, Local authorities, and external contractors.
