We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Hardware and Networking Engineer to build, maintain, and troubleshoot our organization's network infrastructure. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily network operations—ensuring secure, high-speed connectivity, configuring critical network hardware, and resolving physical and logical network issues. The ideal candidate must hold an active CCNP certification, have deep practical experience with Fortigate firewalls and switch architectures, and possess a strong operational understanding of cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Switch Configuration & Management: Configure, deploy, and maintain various types of network switches, with a heavy emphasis on Cisco and D-Link equipment.
• Daily Network Troubleshooting: Actively monitor network performance and execute daily troubleshooting to resolve latency, routing, and connectivity issues across the infrastructure.
• Firewall Administration: Implement, configure, and manage Fortigate firewalls to ensure robust network security, VPN access, and traffic filtering.
• Hands-On Hardware Support: Physically inspect, repair, and terminate network ports, cabling, and hardware at user stations to ensure reliable end-to-end connectivity.
• ISP Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to manage escalations, resolve outages, and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of network topologies, hardware inventory, and incident resolution reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Certification: An active CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification is mandatory.
• Firewall Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience configuring and managing Fortigate firewalls in a corporate environment.
• Switching Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience configuring, updating, and managing Cisco and D-Link switches (L2/L3).
• Hardware Proficiency: Strong practical skills in physical network infrastructure, including patching, crimping, and fixing station ports.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve daily network bottlenecks.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with external vendors (ISPs) and supporting internal team members.

Preferred Qualifications & Added Advantages

• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with or access to Microsoft Azure, including managing cloud network gateways, virtual networks (VNets), or hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Security Certifications: Additional security or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE).
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar).
