  • Responsible for the smooth and profitable operation of a company’s human resources department.
  • Review and design company’s Human Resources policies and procedures
  • To supervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and labor relations.
  • To take a leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance to a firm’s objectives.
  • To ensure effectively plan, design, develop and evaluate human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals.
  • To lead performance management, talent assessment, and effective labor relationships, including negotiating and administering labor agreements.
  • Daily tasks may vary, but a typical Head of HR supervises staff and reports to the chief executive officer on issues regarding implementation of policies and procedures, safety of the workforce, recruiting and hiring high-performing employees, and labor, legislative and other human resources issues.
  • Direct the development and implementation of organizational development programs, employee orientation and training programs, benefits plans, policies and guidelines, database management procedures, equal opportunity employment programs, and employee records and documentation policies.
  • Evaluating effectiveness through compiling and analyzing data can be another important function of the Head of HR, and they typically prepare and distribute various reports on HR metrics to ensure needs are met.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and industry regulations is also vital to the continued success and profitability of a firm, as is advising department managers on legal implications of HR issues related to discipline and employee grievances.
  • Planning and overseeing the HR department budget can be an additional duty of the Head of HR.
  • Work closely with and build collaborative networks with senior leadership and all internal clients to ensure the strategic plan is achieved and that relevant people and development plans are aligned to meet strategic and operational objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end workforce planning including forecasting needs, job design and evaluation, recruitment and selection processes, on-boarding new employees and coaching and liaising with line managers.
  • Lead, monitor and review the performance management system ensuring that appropriate plans are in place for managing succession, retention, talent and career development.
  • Ensure that all training and professional development is linked to organizational goals and coach individuals to improve performance and capability across PME or achieve career progression.
  • Develop, maintain and be a role model for a culture among staff that is open to change and supports continuous quality improvement, collaboration, respect and accountability.
  • Work collaboratively with the SMT to identify, develop and implement key organizational culture, engagement and change initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and practices that reflect contemporary, evidence-based approaches and meet legislative requirements
  •  Manage the remuneration structure and salary reviews, providing recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Oversee Work Health and Safety matters including committee and injury management and ensure a safe and supported environment
  • Develop effective CSR programs encompassing workplace, community, and marketplace issues that align to the emerging CSR strategy, business objectives and which engage team members.
  • Partner with other operations team to oversee CSR strategy and communications
  • Take responsibility for the effective outcome of team work.
  • Liaise with SMT on regular basis regarding verification on interpretations or processes, trends and issues which may have wide reaching implications.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be requested the CEO.

Job Requirements

    1. Any Graduate with preferable in MBA.
    2. Over 5 years’ professional experiences in HRM.
    3. Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
    4. Good problem-solving abilities
    5. Experience in assessment, monitoring and evaluation, training, and facilitation of staff
    6. Good contextual knowledge of local issues, organizational relationship, social and cultural constraints and realities, and environmental conditions
    7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
