Job Description

  • Promote a risk management culture within the organization 
  • Communicate and raise awareness of risk management to all staff and managers including conducting risk management training 
  • Regularly identify, monitor and manage risk in the organization and ensure that those risks are appropriate in the pursuit of the Bank’s objective 
  • Manage the risk management process 
  • Maintains the Bank’s risk registers 
  • Periodically review the risk registers and the effectiveness of the management of high and extreme risks 
  • Reviews the effectiveness of the risk management framework and reports to the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer on findings and options for continual improvement  
  • Receives information on emerging risks and considers the adequacy of how they are being managed 
  • Facilitates the management of cross-organizational risks

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field 
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within banking or a similar regulated organization 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership and management skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience with regulatory requirements in the banking industry
