Job Description

DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible Controls and Monitoring for the fulfilment of preparing comprehensive and accurate reports on finding
  • Collaboration with team and business units
  • Accountable for the content creation of training for control management
  • Risk Management disciplining and controls design and settings
  • Provide control framework for overall support to the department
  • Implements controls and monitoring programs in line with bank operational and compliance risk framework and ensures appropriate oversight and escalation to the board

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Advanced knowledge of the Bank’s products, channels and service
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management disciplines and controls design and settings
  • Experience in internal control and risk management and knowledge of regulations including KYC/AML/CFT
  • Analytical and organizational time management skill; forward thinking and future state oriented
  • Ability to develop strong relationship with all the internal stakeholders including the business units
  • Designs and implements, controls and monitoring programs for the fulfilment of the AML, CTF and other requirements
  • Assist to set targets and objectives for control department
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Education & Special Training

Essential

  • Minimum education requirement; Bachelor’s in Business (Finance/Accounting/Economics/other qualification fields)
  • Ability to lead, develop and motivate employees and creating productive and positive team atmospheres
  • Excellent leadership skill with proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate others
  • Excellent organizational skills and results orientation
  • Assist Head of Controls and Monitoring with projects and priorities as required
  • Assist to create comprehensive and accurate reports on findings that can be understood by all levels from operational to strategic, including the board

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in leading teams in a specialized compliance function
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of knowledge and experience in banking or other financial services organizations within a regulated environment and relevant specialist knowledge in compliance
  • Sound knowledge of lending in the Myanmar market, focusing on retail/consumer lending

Languages

Essential

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Fluent English skills
