Job Purpose:

To lead and manage end-to-end activities in data center infrastructure including Windows Server, Linux (RedHat, Solaris), VMware, OpenStack, Cloud, Storage, and backup technologies. The role involves planning, design, optimization, project rollout, operations, and security compliance to ensure high availability, performance, and efficiency of mission-critical systems supporting telecom services.

Key Responsibilites:

• Provide strong technical leadership in Windows, Linux, Solaris, VMware, OpenStack, Cloud platforms, SAN/NAS/Ceph Storage, and enterprise backup & recovery systems.
• Develop and manage infrastructure roadmap, operation improvement plans, and annual capacity strategies for compute, virtualization, and storage platforms.
• Perform architecture design, planning, security compliance, and project rollout activities across telecom data center infrastructure.
• Oversee data center operations, DR design/solution, capacity planning, and performance optimization for servers, virtualization, and storage systems.
• Manage multi-vendor relationships, ensuring SLA/KPI targets are met, and vendor deliverables align with business needs.
• Collaborate with network, application, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions for telecom operations.
• Ensure compliance with audit, policies, procedures, system documentation, asset management, DR drills, and risk management requirements.
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives such as migration to private/hybrid cloud and automation through Ansible/other tools.
• Conduct benchmarking and adopt market best practices for data center efficiency and reliability.
• Support senior leadership in strategic planning, CAPEX/OPEX management, and transformation projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in data center infrastructure, including Windows, Linux, Solaris, VMware, OpenStack, storage, and cloud technologies.
• Proven experience in leading teams, vendor management, and complex telecom/IT infrastructure projects.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with 24x7 availability requirements.
