The Senior Manager, Business Analysis is responsible for overseeing a team of outsourced Business Analysts to ensure accurate, complete, and business-aligned requirements are captured and translated into solution designs. The role bridges business needs and technical architecture, ensures quality and traceability of deliverables, and maintains consistent alignment with enterprise architecture standards. It also involves stakeholder engagement, governance oversight, and performance management of external BA resources.
Key Accountabilities
Leadership of Outsourced BA Team
- Lead and manage day-to-day activities of outsourced business analysts, ensuring deliverables are aligned with program timelines, scope, and quality standards.
Requirement Governance and Quality Control
- Oversee the gathering, validation, and documentation of business and functional requirements; ensure consistency, traceability, and completeness of BA outputs.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the single point of contact between business teams, solution architects, and BA resources; facilitate requirement workshops, sign-offs, and clarifications.
Alignment with Solution Architecture
- Ensure BA deliverables support architectural integrity, strategic objectives, and compliance with technical constraints and integration patterns.
BA Performance Management
- Define KPIs and quality benchmarks for outsourced BA team; conduct reviews, provide feedback, and work with vendor leads to resolve performance gaps.
Process Improvement and Standardization
- Promote use of standardized templates, requirement traceability matrices (RTMs), and change management processes across the BA function.
Support in Solution Validation and Testing
- Collaborate with architects and QA teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into test scenarios and that solutions meet user needs.
Risk and Change Management
- Identify requirement-related risks and work with stakeholders to mitigate scope creep or late-stage requirement changes.
Documentation and Knowledge Management
- Ensure maintenance of updated and centralized documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, process maps, and change logs.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, delivery leads, and technical SMEs to ensure seamless integration of requirements into the overall project lifecycle.
