About the Role

The Manager – Supplier Management & International Trade drives end-to-end international trade operations, overseas vendor partnerships, and procurement workflows specifically for new business development projects. Stationed at GBS Corporate, this role balances government/private project tenders with international contract negotiations, shipping logistics, customs clearance, and import compliance.

Job Description

• Oversee end-to-end procurement, supply chain schedules, and international trade operations for new commercial projects and business development ventures.

• Lead Private/Government project tender operations end-to-end, including tender document preparation, cost estimations, compliance checks, and formal bid submissions.

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts, pricing, payment mechanisms, and delivery terms with global manufacturers and overseas suppliers.

• Direct shipping documentation, freight forwarding coordination, port logistics, and customs clearance workflows to guarantee timely cargo arrival.

• Enforce strict compliance with Myanmar trade laws, customs regulations, import/export licensing, and international trade protocols.

• Align procurement schedules and capital requirements closely with internal Planning, Finance, and Project execution teams.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (qualifications in Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred).

• Experience: Minimum 7 to 8 years in procurement, trade operations, or logistics, with at least 3 to 4 years in a managerial capacity.

• Core Competencies: Strong command of government/private tender preparation, overseas vendor negotiations, and Myanmar customs clearance workflows.

• Languages & Communication: Professional English fluency for high-level vendor negotiations and international business correspondence.

• Leadership: Decisive problem-solving capabilities, high operational accountability, and cross-border logistics management skills.
