Background: Turquoise Mountain was founded by His Majesty King Charles III (the then Prince of Wales) in 2006. Inspired by His Majesty’s vision of heritage-led regeneration, we support artisans and their communities with everything they need to sustain themselves and revitalize their heritage, in Afghanistan, Myanmar, and across the Middle East.
Turquoise Mountain Myanmar was established in 2016, promoting traditional textile weaving, goldsmithing, and lacquerware production, and the rebuilding of historic buildings. Turquoise Mountain supports the sales of traditional Myanmar crafts to international markets and showcases the artisans’ work on a global stage through exhibitions, creative and commercial partnerships, and bespoke commissions. We have also established a cultural center in Yangon, a hub for art, design, and craft from Myanmar with a strong focus on public outreach and arts education. The center is included a boutique that brings the best of Myanmar craftmanship to market.
Purpose of the Position: Under the supervision of the Commercial Manager, the Marketing Officer is responsible for planning, executing, and managing marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth for Turquoise Mountain, Myanmar (TM). This role includes creating compelling narratives, producing high-quality multimedia content, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring consistent branding across all channels. It also involves strategizing campaigns across multiple platforms, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure marketing efforts align with the organization’s objectives.
The Marketing Officer will proactively generate ideas and initiatives to engage target audiences, drive sales and donor engagement, enhance TM’s public profile, and coordinate closely with TM’s global commercial and communications teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns for programs, products, and services to increase visibility, engagement, and sales.
- Create high-quality multimedia content, including visuals, copy, short videos, reels, emails, and printed materials.
- Manage social media channels, monitor engagement, report analytics, and adjust campaigns to maximize impact.
- Maintain and update digital platforms, including websites, online catalogues, and e-commerce portals.
- Manage/coordinate with external creative contractors (photographers, videographers, designers)/to produce campaign content.
- Design and produce marketing collateral, including brochures, catalogues, and event materials.
- Plan and support marketing for events, launches, trade shows, and promotional activities.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all marketing channels and outputs.
- Track market trends and audience insights to inform marketing strategies and campaign improvements.
- Maintain organized libraries of photos, videos, and marketing assets for internal and external use.
- Manage marketing calendars and timelines to ensure campaigns are executed on schedule.
- Produce internal updates to highlight marketing initiatives and program achievements
- Any other work-related tasks assigned by Country Director or Commercial Manager.
