We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Operations Lead  to support our network infrastructure and operations team in ensuring the smooth functioning, security, and reliability of our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will assist in designing network infrastructure, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting network, power and security issues, and coordinating with various teams under the group to enhance network efficiency. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations: Assist in managing daily network operations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

  • Traffic monitoring: Monitor network connectivity, traffic, and performance to identify and resolve potential issues.

  • Security monitoring: Monitor and pinpoint vulnerabilities and potential threats and enhance network security proactively.

  • Upgrades and expansion: Support the implementation of new networks, network upgrades, maintenance, and configuration changes.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to establish and maintain optimal network infrastructure and troubleshoot issues.

  • Compliance: Assist in developing and enforcing network policies, procedures, and security measures.

  • Documentation: Maintain documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.

  • Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to junior network staff and end-users and coach them.

  • Risk Management: Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure network resiliency.

  • Capacity Development: Stay updated on emerging network technologies and best practices and share experiences with the team members.

Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards for senior management on network status and performance of all subsidiaries.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in network and data centre management

    • Proven track record in managing and optimising network infrastructure and performance

    • Familiarity with leading network equipment systems, protocols, firewalls, routers and switches  and network management systems 

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge and experience managing network infrastructure including power systems, firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, access points and network attached systems

    • Familiarity with security best practices, VPNs and cloud networking

    • Excellent problem solving and communication skills

    • Ability to work independently and under high pressure situations

    • Relevant certifications in networking is a plus

    • Experience working with Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki Firewalls a plus
