Position Overview

The Parent Relationship Manager plays a central role in strengthening relationships between the school and its parent community. The role is responsible for delivering a high standard of parent engagement, communication, administration, and operational support across the parent journey — from enquiry and enrolment through to ongoing school experience.

The Parent Relationship Manager works collaboratively with the Head of Parent Relations, Front of House reception, attendance teams, and wider school departments to ensure families receive responsive, professional, and solutions-focused support while maintaining warm and trusted relationships with parents.

Key Responsibilities

Parent Relations & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain warm, professional, and supportive relationships with current and prospective parents.
  • Serve as a key contact point for parent enquiries, concerns, and day-to-day support.
  • Support parent onboarding and transition processes for new families.
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and service-oriented environment for families.
  • Coordinate parent-facing communications and ensure timely follow-up on requests.
  • Support parent engagement initiatives, events, information sessions, and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate parent records and communication logs.

Administration & Documentation

  • Produce attendance confirmation letters, school reports, supporting documents, and other official school correspondence as required.
  • Prepare and manage general administrative documentation for parents and students.
  • Ensure records and documentation are accurate, timely, and confidential.
  • Support filing, database management, and document tracking systems.
  • Assist with daily administrative operations within the department.

Admissions & Communications Support

  • Work collaboratively with the admissions team to support prospective family engagement and retention.
  • Assist with parent communication campaigns, notices, reminders, and updates.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and parent experience across departments.
  • Support implementation of communication protocols and parent service standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of parent experience processes.

Collaboration with Reception & Attendance Teams

  • Work closely with Front of House reception to ensure smooth handling of daily parent interactions.
  • Coordinate with attendance teams regarding student absence notifications, attendance records, parent follow-up, and related communications.
  • Support efficient information flow between operational and academic teams.
  • Assist in managing sensitive or urgent parent matters professionally and confidentially.

School Bus Coordination

  • Coordinate the school’s transport services, including Door-to-door bus services and Sibling bus arrangements.
  • Liaise with transport providers, parents, and school staff regarding routes, schedules, and transport issues.
  • Manage bus registrations, route changes, waiting lists, and transport communications.
  • Maintain accurate transport records and ensure timely updates to families.
  • Support safe, efficient, and well-organised transport operations.
  • Respond promptly to transport-related enquiries and operational issues.
  • Monitor service quality and escalate concerns where necessary.
