Job Purpose
To lead and manage the end-to-end procurement activities for industrial projects, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and quality supply of equipment, materials, and services. The Procurement Manager plays a key role in vendor management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and procurement process optimization to support industrial development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement & Planning
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with industrial project requirements and company objectives.
Plan annual and project-based procurement budgets and forecasts.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and establish procurement KPIs to measure efficiency.
2. Sourcing & Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers, contractors, and service providers (local and international).
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements to ensure best value.
Build long-term relationships with reliable vendors to ensure consistent quality and supply continuity.
3. Procurement Execution
Manage purchase requisitions, RFQs, bid evaluations, and purchase orders in compliance with company policy.
Monitor procurement progress for ongoing industrial projects to ensure on-time delivery.
Coordinate with engineering, finance, logistics, and project teams for specification validation and material approvals.
4. Contract & Risk Management
Draft and review procurement contracts to ensure compliance with legal and operational requirements.
Identify risks related to supplier performance, delivery delays, or cost fluctuations, and propose mitigation plans.
5. Cost Control & Reporting
Ensure cost efficiency through effective negotiation, bulk purchasing, and supplier consolidation.
Maintain updated procurement reports including cost analysis, supplier performance, and market trends.
Work closely with the Finance Department to manage payment schedules and cash flow planning.
6. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of procurement processes and supplier records.
