The role of a PMO, reporting directly to the Managing Director of MD Office 5, will play a pivotal role in supporting and facilitating the efficient execution of projects across the Deposit, Wealth, Bancassurance, Treasury, and Trade Finance business units. This position involves coordinating project activities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, and providing essential project management support to enhance overall business performance.

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and project managers to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects within the Deposit, Wealth, Bancassurance, Treasury, and Trade Finance portfolios.
  • Assist in defining project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Maintain an overview of all projects within MD Office 5, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Regularly update project portfolios and provide status reports to the Managing Director.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure optimal resource allocation for projects.
  • Identify potential resource constraints and propose solutions to address them.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Ensure that documentation adheres to PMO standards and guidelines.
  • Facilitate the identification and assessment of project risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Establish effective communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing inquiries.
  • Organise and facilitate project-related meetings, ensuring clear agendas and follow-up actions.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet predefined standards and expectations.
  • Conduct periodic project audits to assess compliance with PMO guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the project management framework.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to implement enhancements that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless integration of bancassurance activities within the overall business operations.
  • Work closely with senior management to align management objectives with overall business goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on performance metrics.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a commitment to adhere to KBZ’s principles and values.
  • Provide support by undertaking any other additional functions as delegated by MD.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in project coordination or project management within the financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with Deposit, Wealth, Bancassurance, Treasury, and Trade Finance business functions is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in PMO roles,
  • 1 – 2 years in banking or business environment
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of products and services.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and risk management practices in the banking industry.
