Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

  • Lead and manage electrical power projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Supervise and mentor project team members, including engineers and technical staff.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Manage procurement and contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Power (EP) or a closely related engineering field.
  • A postgraduate qualification in power systems or energy management will be an added advantage. 
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the energy, power distribution, or electrical infrastructure sector, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. 
  • Strong background in electrical power systems, operations & maintenance for substations, transmission line and distribution networks, power generation equipment, and preventive maintenance programs. 
  • Proven capability to lead, supervise, and motivate technical and field teams, including task planning, work assignment, performance monitoring, and ensuring adherence to operational timelines and safety requirements. 
  • In-depth understanding of industry safety standards, including OSH regulations, electrical hazard control, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, grounding systems, equipment isolation, and compliance with national electrical codes and energy regulations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and analyze electrical faults, system failures, and load issues, and provide effective technical solutions to maintain operational reliability. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and capable of preparing accurate technical reports, maintenance records, operational summaries, and data analysis related to energy usage and system performance. 
  • Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, contractors, and management. 
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving energy environment and handle emergencies related to electrical power projects.
