Job Summary:

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant as well as catering service to ensure smooth service, high-quality customer experience, and efficient team performance. This role involves supervising staff, handling customer issues, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and supporting the management in achieving financial and operational goals.

 

Job Description

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is consistently delivered and handle guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during peak and non-peak hours.
  • Ensure the restaurant complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management, stock ordering, and cost control measures.
  • Monitor daily sales, cash handling procedures, and report discrepancies if any.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in implementing promotional activities and special events.
  • Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a supervisor or team leader in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good knowledge of restaurant operations and health & safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
