An Excellent Opportunity for ...

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons for Secondary students in accordance with the Pearson Computing curriculum.
  • Teach key Computing concepts including programming, computational thinking, algorithms, databases, networks, cybersecurity, data representation and digital technologies.
  • Teach and support students in Python programming, coding, problem-solving and debugging.
  • Develop students’ computational thinking, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills through practical activities and projects.
  • Prepare and deliver practical Computing activities, projects, worksheets, quizzes and assessments.
  • Prepare students for Pearson Computing assessments and examinations by providing curriculum-aligned practice and exam preparation.
  • Differentiate lessons and provide appropriate support and extension activities according to students’ abilities.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Integrate appropriate digital tools and educational technologies into lessons.
  • Keep up to date with developments in Computing, programming, AI and emerging technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, academic staff and school management to support students’ academic development.
  • Maintain accurate records of lesson planning, assessment and student progress.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development and other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computing or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Computing/ICT at Secondary level, preferably in an international curriculum.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, algorithms, computational thinking, databases, networks and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with Pearson Computing curriculum is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create practical activities and curriculum-aligned assessments.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Passion for teaching and willingness to continuously develop technical skills.
