Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

Monitor, reconcile, and analyze inventory accounts across all warehouses, showrooms, and production units.
Ensure accuracy in inventory valuation, including raw materials, WIP (Work in Progress), and finished goods.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory closings and report inventory balances.
Coordinate and supervise periodic physical inventory count and cycle counts.
Investigate inventory variances and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain cost accounting systems and ensure correct item costing (e.g., gold weight, gemstones, making charges).
Collaborate with production and procurement teams to validate inventory movements.
Review and verify documentation for inventory adjustments such as damage, and loss.
Develop and implement internal controls to minimize inventory shrinkage and fraud.
Assist auditors during internal and external audits by providing necessary inventory reports and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies regarding inventory.
Train and mentor junior inventory accountants and support staff.
Office and occasional on-site (warehouse or showroom) inspections.
May require working beyond regular hours during stock take or month-end closing periods

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in inventory accounting.
Prior experience in the jewelry industry or other luxury goods is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho Inventory). Check with HOD
Attention to detail with high integrity in handling high-value inventory.
Proficient in MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
