Role Purpose

To support the Bank's portfolio planning and growth strategy through the development and review of the Asset Writing Strategy (AWS), portfolio monitoring, and credit risk analytics. The role provides portfolio insights and management reporting for Senior Management and the Board, while supporting credit governance through policy development, review, and regulatory compliance activities. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Credit Governance & Policy Support 

  • Support the review and periodic update of Credit Policies, Guidelines, SOPs, and Instructions to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards. 
  • Coordinate policy review activities, stakeholder consultations, approval processes, and implementation of approved policy changes. 
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices and provide recommendations to strengthen the Bank's credit governance framework. 

Credit Risk Strategy & Portfolio Planning 

  • Support the development and review of the Bank’s Credit Risk Full Year Strategy and Quarterly Asset Writing Strategy (AWS) to ensure alignment with business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations. 
  • Perform industry, sector, geographic, and macroeconomic analyses to identify emerging risks, growth opportunities, and portfolio concentration exposures. 
  • Prepare portfolio performance insights and risk assessments for Senior Management and governance committees, while collaborating with Business, Risk, Finance, and other stakeholders to support informed decision-making and portfolio optimization. 

Portfolio Analytics & Management Reporting 

  • Monitor and analyze portfolio performance across products, customer segments, industries, and branches through portfolio analytics, including vintage analysis, delinquency migration, NPL monitoring, roll-rate analysis, and early warning indicator tracking. 
  • Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards, management information, and analytical reports, and assess portfolio performance against approved risk appetite metrics, concentration limits, and strategic targets.

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of credit risk management, portfolio monitoring, and banking products. 
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and derive meaningful business and risk insights. 
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Excel, SQL, or other data analysis and visualization tools is an advantage.
  • Good report writing, presentation, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across Business, Risk, Finance, and Operations. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. 

Education & Special Training  

  • Degree in Banking & Finance, Data Analytics, or related disciplines. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools would be an advantage but not mandatory. 

Experience  

  • 1–3 years of experience in banking, risk management, portfolio management, or related functions. 
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, or portfolio monitoring will be an advantage.
