Kospa Ltd (Kospa) is a joint venture between Kokubu Japan and Yoma Strategic Holdings Limited, (a member of Serge Pun and Associates a major Myanmar based Company and a listed SEX Company). Kokubu has a long history of managing logistics commencing operations in the 18th Century in Japan. In addition to its Japanese businesses, Kokubu also has JV partnerships in China, Vietnam and Myanmar. SPA has interests throughout Asia and has representations through its affiliated Companies of FMI and Yoma Strategic Holdings in property, automotive, agricultural, consumer, airline, logistics, tourism and medical service provision. Logistics management and particularly cold chain management is limited in terms of the practice of international and world class standards in Myanmar. Kospa is a 3PL provider, with a state of art multi temperature warehouse facility in Yangon commissioned in December 2015 and is building a territory network to support agricultural, fmcg and food service businesses throughout Myanmar. All facilities and operations will be ISO 22000 and HACCP certified.
In addition to warehousing Kospa has a 36-vehicle fleet infrastructure to manage long and short haul transport requirements for the Myanmar market with the fleet expanding to 97 vehicles in 2018. To manage the business expansion and identify and benefit from commercial opportunities, Kospa is seeking to hire Business Development Managers
The BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER will:
• Manage the acquisition of new business and manage existing clients to grow business organically to ensure revenue and margin targets are met for the territory and / or channel designated. The BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER will work jointly and collaboratively with the finance, fleet and warehousing functions to achieve customer service levels and cost targets.
• Actively prospect for new business for transport and warehouse services. The achievement of new business revenue targets and margins is the Key result area for the role.
• Identify competitors and monitor competitor activities and pricing within the market for warehouse and transport services. Provide formal reports and monitor activity monthly and quarterly.
• Under the direction of the Kospa Leadership will identify potential partners for collaboration within the logistics market to add value to Kospa Limited’s existing portfolio of services. Partners may include but not be limited to 3PL providers, freight forwarders and customs clearance agents.
• Manage customer relationships to ensure the standards of service mandated contractually and within KOSPA standards.
• Prepare and present reviews to existing and potential Kospa clients and perform regular KPI reporting as directed by the Country Commercial Manager.
• Support the Fleet and Distribution Manager to develop business which allows for the efficient use of asset capacity. A key performance indicator will be the identification and contracting of parties for backloads to territories currently serviced and new territories developed.
• Travel / Visit designated territories, customers and areas to a frequency and schedule as agreed with the Country Commercial Manager. It is a requirement for all candidates to acknowledge and accept that travel is an integral and non-negotiable requirement for the role. This will require travel overnight outside Yangon from time to time.
• Perform analysis and track KPI to ensure that revenue and margin targets are within target and growth and expansion targets are met.
• Assist the Country Commercial Manager in the training and development of territory sales staff to support the management of CRM and customer acquisition / maintenance.
• Ensure all administration processes and contracts adheres to Kospa policies and procedures by following the required Delegation of Authorities, IT, financial and other procedural guidelines as mandated.
• Adhere to all HR policies and procedures as required. Ensures that disciplinary and grievance and all other HR related policies and procedures are complied with in full.
• Comply with all environment, safety, ISO and HACCP and other SOP as applicable for the role. Comply with all appropriate legislation and other regulatory policies and procedures related to the role.
• Comply in full at all times to SPA Group policies relating to business ethics and corruption.
• Assist the Managing Director and Strategy Manager with the planning and management of commercial Projects as directed.
• Remain abreast of industry developments and trends and actively manage Kospa’s services levels to maintain industry leadership. This will include the attendance of approved exhibitions and seminars.

Job Dimension:
• BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER will manage business development operations within the territories and channels identified.
• Manage designated territories in Yangon, Mandalay and other major centers.
• Responsibility for revenue targets of USD 1 million plus.
