Position Purpose / General Description
The Deputy General Manager is responsible to assist Senior General Manager in program management and administration of regional offices and branches. He/ She has to focus on managing regional offices and branches for achieving the target of a business plan and supervise the performances of branches and Regional Offices. And also responsible for liaising with government agencies and he/she is expected to spend his/her time in the field as required to maintain the quality of microfinance services and improve internal control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Sr.General Manager in managing daily company operations to ensure positive, safe and profitable working environment.
- Assist Sr. General Manager in the management of operational activities.
- Maintain the quality of microfinance services through regular field visits.
- Supervise staffing to ensure efficiency, productivity, and smooth operations.
- Participate in strategic planning.
- Review business plans and submit to Sr. General Manager with recommendations.
- In accordance with the business plan, ensure the ongoing promotion of financial services.
- Supervise Regional Offices and Branch Offices in achieving targets stated in Business Plan for particular region and branches.
- Manage, facilitate and implement the roll out of additional branches in Myanmar in accordance with business plans and strategies.
- Review and analyze region’s and branch’s performance regularly with targets and submits to Sr. General Manager with recommendations.
- Cooperate with Sr. General Manager in recruiting, training, performance evaluation, promotions, and releasing the employees.
- Cooperate with the Training Manager to develop training module.
- Ensure internal control system in place in the operation and supervise follow up on policies and procedures
- Research potential business opportunities to make recommendations to the General Manager
- Assist Sr.General Manager with budget management.
- Review internal/external audit findings and ensure rapid follow-up on issues raised by the internal/external audit.
- Improve performance management system.
- Assist Sr.General Manager to liaise with government officials and other stakeholders.
- Undertake any assignment assigned by Supervisor and Hana Management

JOB SPECIFICATION
Academic Qualification – A graduate from universities preferably in commerce / economics / business administration
Relevant past experience – 8 years senior level experience in Microfinance Management.
Training and certification – Preferably certification on Microfinance Management
Personal characteristics & behavior –
• Communication with various type of people, neutral mindset, be persevering
• Positive (can do) attitude with an ability to work in a team environment
• Flexibility
• Ability to work under pressure
• Taking responsibility of own action
• Good collaboration ability

Job Requirements

Required competencies –
• Strong knowledge and experiences in Microfinance
• Ability to travel, including overnight as required
• Strong analytical problem solving and project management skill
• Gd computer skill in Microsoft Office application; Excel, Words, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skill in English
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights and weekends.
• Age below 45 years
