Job Description

  • Water treatment and sewage treatment plants Associate Engineer (Chemical)
  • Perform regular maintenance inspection and calibration of laboratory instruments and machines as per the plan schedule.
  • Conduct daily routine process control and monitoring water treatment and sewage treatment processes quality.
  • Conduct water analysis with the team for daily, monthly and yearly analysis schedule.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of operation & lab chemicals and laboratory spare parts, and report to the team leader.
  • Conduct annual routine sampling and analysis of surface water and dehydrator sludge for environmental requirements.
  • Perform weekly inspections of internal regulations on site for locators and report to the team leader.
  • Prepare and submit purchasing request for laboratory requirements and report to the team leader.
  • Prepare and submit purchasing requisition for calibration services, disposal, and analysis services.
  • Perform updates and report to section leader for laboratory equipment work instructions and flowcharts.
  • Prepare and submit monthly summary reports of laboratory water analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineer (BE)
  • Chemical engineer with 2 years’ experience in water treatment or production
  • Knowledge/experience in analytical chemistry, methods, principles and laboratory practices
  • Language and communication skills adequate for daily communication regarding job priorities and deadlines
  • Microsoft Word , Excel and Powerpoint
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Myanmar.
  • Must be able to cooperate well with others and work as part of a team
