Purpose/ Mission

• To execute Mechanical Maintenance for the Thilawa plant maximizing the plant Uptime.
• To assist with the coaching and training of an outstanding local team.
• Ensures equipment, materials and tools are on-hand for work execution.
• To help build a culture of excellence in Safety, Efficiency, Reliability and Teamwork.
• Conducts work using a precision-based approach documenting new tasks using pictures and written instruction in English and Myanmar languages

Key Responsibilities

Work Practices

• Conduct the work execution process for all Mechanical equipment including gas, water, sewerage, water treatment and compressed air systems, hydraulics, and Condition monitoring procedures.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure work is efficiently completed daily. Ensure all work is documented in a simple clear manner and that feedback on the work performed is captured.
• Assist Preparing spares purchased from the store into packages for planned maintenance tasks and shutdown work.
• Participate in Minor (2-3 monthly) Shutdowns and Major Shutdowns (annual). Shutdowns must have the right work completed in the designated time to minimize impact on customer deliveries.
• Provide afterhours support to Shift Engineers to minimize down time for CPL, MCL, Water Treatment and plant utilities. Reasonable level of overtime as required.
• Utilize high levels of planned documented work to maximize both the safety and efficiency of the work performed. Use a precision-based approach to the work conducted to avoid introducing future defects.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation, tools, and equipment.

Problem solving

• Participate in Apollo 5 Why problem-solving exercises to quickly and efficiently get to true root cause thereby minimizing plant downtime and maximizing product quality.
• Support the Maintenance Engineer as a Subject Mater Expert during risk-based activities such as FMEA process.

Training

• Take the vendor information from our key equipment suppliers and develop the detailed training programs required to bring new starters up to the required knowledge level.
• Materials should focus on the language skills of the target participants making heavy use of pictures to tell a story. Maintenance procedures will be written in English and Burmese.

• Fresh Graduate with B.E ( Mechanical)/Technical Diploma /High School.
• Prefer working experience in heavy industry.
• Hands on role utilizing skills such as fitting, machining, welding, and hydraulics.
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong ability to communicate with a workforce in both English and Myanmar language.
• Proactive, well organized, and continuously striving for an exciting efficient approach.
• Welding certification is desirable but not essential
• Desire to learn High Voltage switching. (33KV)
• Desire to learn Siemens PLC programming, S7-400.
• Desire to learn Instrumentation and process control. VFAC drives, Induction heating, X-Ray control and maintenance in all equipment
