The role of a Digital Channel & Planning Manager involves overseeing and managing the bancassurance (partnership between a bank and an insurance company) activities within a digital channel or institutional setting. As the Digital Channel & Planning Manager, you are responsible for driving the success of our bancassurance management initiatives and business planning and data analysis, strengthening relationships with channel partners within the Bancassurance business units. The Digital Channel & Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the financial success of digital clients while effectively managing and optimising distribution channels for products and services. The Digital Channel & Planning Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth, foreseeing business opportunity, enhancing customer relationships, and ensuring the successful implementation of bancassurance strategies within the digital sector.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for bancassurance within the digital sector, aligning with the overall goals of the organisation.

  • Lead and manage digital insurance sales to achieve growth and revenue targets.

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure timely resolution of operations- related cases.

  • Collaborate with multiple insurers and internal teams to optimize product offerings.

  • Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Develop and execute digital sales and marketing strategies to drive insurance product distribution through online channels.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Track, analyze, and report on digital channel performance (traffic, leads, conversions, etc.).

  • Manage digital marketing budgets and ensure ROI optimization and updated on digital trends, competitors’ strategies.

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and IT teams to launch new insurance products and campaigns via digital platforms.

  • Drive end-to-end customer journey digitization — from awareness, lead generation, purchase, to post-sales service.

  • Set and achieve sales targets, monitor performance, and implement strategies to enhance results.

  • Provide training to bank staff on insurance products and services Ensure that the bank's employees are knowledgeable about the features, benefits, and selling points of the insurance products.

  • Implement risk management practices to minimise potential financial and reputational risks.

  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimise results.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive customer experience.

  • Preparing contest and campaign plans and aligning with internal stakeholders and develop and manage budgets related to bancassurance activities.

  • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in implementing strategies and campaigns.

  • Conduct market research to understand the needs and preferences of corporate clients.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact bancassurance.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless integration of bancassurance activities within the overall business operations.

  • Work closely with senior management to align Business objectives with overall Bancassurance business goals.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on performance metrics.

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a commitment to adhere to KBZ’s principles and values.

  • Provide support by undertaking any other additional functions as delegated by the Head of Bancassurance and MD.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field; Master's degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in corporate and digital insurance industry, business strategy planning, data analytical skill and Bancassurance operations.
  • Minimum3 years of experience in sales management, insurance, or digital financial services.
  • At least 2 years in banking or business environment.
  • Excellent data analytical and problem-solving, planning, strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of insurance products, digital distribution, and market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of aggregator business models and online policy servicing.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving digital environment.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and risk management practices in the Bancassurance industry.
  • Fluent in English Language (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
  • MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Proficient.
