Job Scope

The role is responsible to supervise accountants, create systems/ accounting policies and processes for maintaining internal controls over financial transactions, analyzing, reporting financial information, ensure organizations follow legal and regulatory requirements, and recommend improvements for business procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing the general accounting function.
• Prepare, analyze, and review financial documents to ensure financial documents meet legal and regulatory requirements, identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements, and assess financial practices.
• Oversee & verify the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results are highly accurate, comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Oversees the completion of monthly and yearly closing and financial statements.
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with local regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
• Presents recommendations and address workflow inefficiencies, and financial management challenges.
• Coach, mentor and develop accounting team to ensure their professional development and assess staff performance, provide feedback, and create goals align with departmental goals
• Work collaboratively with the internal related departments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/business administration or ACCA qualified member is required
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in managing high performance team
• Strong knowledge on SAP & Local Government Regulations
• Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
• Strong leadership, auditing abilities and analytical skill
