Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Myanmar's leading private-sector infrastructure and energy development groups. The GM-HR is key member of Executive Leadership and he/she provides strategic leadership across HR transformation, organizational development, re-engineering ensuring the organization is equipped to support the continued growth of one of Myanmar's leading infrastructure and energy development organization.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with Business Objectives, driving organizational growth and workforce planning
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to ensure corporate strategy into measurable HR initiatives and annual workforce plans
  • Champion organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and successful adoption.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning, succession planning and organizational capacity development
  • Redesign organizational structures, workflows, job design and cross-functional process to enhance productivity
  • Develop high-performance culture by strengthening leadership, employee engagement, performance management and change management
  • Design and implement talent development frameworks that support long-term business growth
  • Manage and support initiatives that achieve organization objectives, including staff wellness, training and a positive working environment and culture
  • Lead the design and review of competitive compensation, benefits, and performance reward frameworks
  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and employment relations comply with Myanmar labour legislation to develop, guide and support the organization ins its employment relation programs and practices
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR team to become a high-performing strategic business partner
  • Lead and/or participate in HR or company related initiatives and special projects, as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, HR, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in related experiences and above 5 years in management level is a must
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to connect people strategy with business strategy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficient in English both Verbal and Written
  • Must be highly committed, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and under pressure
  • Previous Power Plant industry experience highly preferred
