ROLE PURPOSE

The role holder is responsible for Compliance and Regulatory Obligation of IB Operation and track the actions taken on regulatory requirements and Foreign Exchange Management Laws and Regulation issued by Central Bank of Myanmar and other instructions from regulators. Responsible for review and preparing of official letter for reporting to regulator and Monitoring and track timely reporting to regulator. Processing CBM FxDIS, FEMS, daily CBM reporting and other duties as assigned by superiors.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and monitor daily incoming and outgoing transactions of IB and Trade Operations by understanding the compliance of regulatory requirement by Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) and SOP of IB and Trade Operations.  
• Prepare official letters to Regulatory Bodies and track the timely submission of reports to CBM.
• Track the pending letters that are yet to receive approval from CBM.  
• To understand the changes and updates in instructions, directives issued by CBM and imply the changes in daily BAUs. 
• Process and monitor AML check and Sanction Screening.  
• Check and submit daily FIU reports to Compliance Division.  
• Prepare and check for daily, weekly, and monthly reports to CBM and prepare ad-hoc basic reports to CBM as required in a timely manner with accuracy. 
• Check and verify the accuracy of reports recorded in CBM reporting software FxDIS, FEMS and other CBM reporting tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.  
• Guide and assist, if needed, junior members in performing their tasks to ensure consistent understanding and ability to perform tasks. 
• Flexible and available for a regular work and non-regular work (evenings and weekends) schedule as needed.

Knowledge & Skills

• Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and Foreign Exchange Management Laws and Regulation issued by Central Bank of Myanmar and other instructions from regulators.
• Understand the compliance of regulatory requirements by CBM to review and monitor daily incoming and outgoing transactions.
• Communication with Regulatory Bodies as needed.
• A high energy, self-motivated individual, who can collaborate with cross-functional teams with minimal supervision to deliver results.

Education & Special Training

• Bachelor/master’s degree in law /accounting/ economics or otherwise quantitative field.
• Relevant professional training in Compliance and regulation
• Good presentation skills and soft skills; team player.

Experience

• 3 years and above of working experience in International Banking, Trade Operations and other financial institutions. (Experience in compliance and regulatory reporting is more preferable.
• Excellent competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues effectively using professional knowledge and industry experience.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.

Languages

• Excellent in verbal written communication skill in both Myanmar and English.
