Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Geologist/ Assistant Geologist to support site investigations, material analysis, and field reporting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with hands-on geology experience and a strong interest in practical project support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Geologists provide logistical & technical support during field operations.
• Assist with site inspections, soil and rock sampling, and basic field observations.
• Monitor site conditions and flag geological or material-related concerns.
• Support geotechnical data collection, logging, analysis, and report preparation.
• Learn to identify rock types, record structural measurements & use basic GIS tools.
• Assist in sample collection, GPS data recording & preliminary lithological descriptions.
• Assist with sample preparation, maintaining field logs & participating in safety briefings.
• Responsible for maintaining field equipment, records & sample management procedures, organizing sample bags & ensuring proper labeling and chain-of-custody protocols.
• Digitize field notes, help with data entry into geological databases & support geologists during trench mapping and drill site preparation.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate technical documentation.
• Contributing to data interpretation & report drafting under supervision.
• Prepare clear summaries of findings for supervisors and project stakeholders.

• Must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Geology.
• Willingness to specialize in geological or geotechnical activities.
• Ability to recognize rock and mineral types and their implications for geological modelling.
• High level of self-motivation, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work within, and contribute to, a team environment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety management.
• Good written and verbal English language ability.
• Must possess good character and integrity.
• Must be in good health.
• Willingness to travel and be working within Provincial or international locations.
• Applicants with proficiency in GIS software and other mining software will be considered more suitable.
