ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process the monthly provision by ensuring completeness & accuracy, in accordance with the Bank’s provision methodology
• Perform sanity check on the provision numbers generated
• Perform manual adjustment / work around solutions in the event there is distortion in the provision numbers generated
• Understand nature of products and incorporate new products/models into provision calculation
• Liaise with Branch Network and Business to obtain update valuation data for accurate shortfall for provision calculation
• Support Financial Control team for timely and accurate booking of provision in the Core Banking System
• Support senior management and stakeholders with the provision numbers for internal management reporting, regulatory reporting, analysis and forecasting of provisions numbers and ad-hoc requests

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Experience

• At least (2) years of experience in Banking or Financial Institutions and related field, or relevant experience in accounting and provisioning. (Lesser experience will be considered officer position)

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

• Familiar with accounting principles and operations
• Intermediate to Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good analytical skills and good with numbers
• Strong work ethic
• Good communication skills, in both verbal and written
• Maintain high level of professionalism
• Willingness to learn and develop

Preferred

• Knowledge on IFRS 9 and Expect Credit Loss model

Education & Special Training

• Bachelor or equivalent degree in math, accounting, banking & finance or a related area
• Undergraduate with strong accounting knowledge will be considered

Languages

• Good in verbal and written communication for both Burmese & English
