Job Descriptions

• Prepare cost estimates based on design development and project requirements. 
• Establish and maintain cost benchmarks and rate databases.  
• Monitor design development and identify cost implications. 
• Prepare cost comparisons for design alternatives. 
• Lead preparation, review and management of Bills of Quantities.  
• Establish appropriate measurement methods and pricing structures.  
• Ensure quantities are accurately measured from drawings and specifications.  
• Review design changes and update quantities accordingly.  
• Coordinate with the Architect and System Engineering, and other project Consultants, Project Manager and other project teams on cost-related matters. 
• Prepare/review BOQ, pricing schedules and tender documents.  
• Assist the team lead in preparing tender documentation.  
• Analyze contractor tender returns and prepare tender comparison statements. 
• Review contractor payment applications.  
• Measure and verify completed works. 
• Coordinate with the Site / Project Management team to verify physical progress.
• Analyze proposed variation works 
• Maintain variation/change register 
• Prepare regular cost reports based on approved design and contract information. 
• Monitor approved contract value, variations, commitments and forecast cost.  
• Highlight cost impacts arising from design development and changes.  
• Identify potential cost risks and provide cost impact assessments. 
• Provide QS input to contract administration.  
• Review contractor claims from a measurement and valuation perspective.  
• Assist with assessment of final accounts.  
• Verify final quantities and outstanding works.  
• Prepare QS-related cost reports and cost information for the Owner.  
• Track approved, committed, certified and forecast costs. 
• Prepare final measurement and final account recommendations.

Job Requirements

Academic requirements 
• Bachelor of engineering (Civil Engineering) / (Electrical or relating) 
• Specialist in QS professional preferable certified QS or master degree in QS field 
Experience 
•    Minimum 7 years' relevant QS experience, including at least 5 years in a senior QS / QS Manager position, with proven experience on large-scale and technically complex building projects. 
•    Healthcare / hospital project experience is highly preferred. 
•    Preferable skills and experience in preparing budget using RICS format and yellow book
•    Document control and preparation 
•    Auto Cad 2D, 3D 
•    Sketch up (To have knowledge to check the drawing and material list for BQ preparation) 
•     Revit (To have knowledge to check the drawing and material list for BQ preparation) 
•    English _ Intermediate
