Job Purpose:The role holder is responsible to systematically manage, monitor and control the credit risk arising from the Bank’s day-to-day business activities. The role holder is also responsible for checking and appraisal on credit application by customers. The role holder is responsible for pointing out risk assessment and contacting the RM & Branch credit committee member (RM Uncovered) who is responsible for the case to resolve outstanding matters and for clarification. Moreover, the job holder is responsible for serving as a secretary of SME credit committee and a supervisor of SME CC liaison officer.

• Loan checking & appraisal for each SME credit applications according to existing policy, criteria, instructions and new approval matrix by MCC.
• Finding out credit risk and risk mitigation on each application.
• Contacting SME Business team & branches for clarification
• If needed, Monitoring onsite visit to Customer’s Business Premises with related RMs, but hardly ever.
• Making proper credit assessment such as data analyst, credit scoring specialist
• Developing Credit Scoring Methodology.
• Advising Structured Credit Risk Solution on existing & new credit products presented by as per customer business needs.
• Handling Policy Lending Credit facilities such as JICA 2 Step Loans.
• Carry out verification, validation and authentication of information and documents provided by the Relationship Manager and the customer to ensure that the facts are accurate, reliable and true.
•  Liaise closely with the Value Centre General Managers of all Value Centres of the Bank, irrespective of whether they are lending units or otherwise, to fully understand their operations and how they impact on credit functions.
• Liaise closely with the Bank's in-house Legal and Compliance Team to fully understand the legal aspects impacting on the extension of credit and securing documentation.
• Assist the Head, SME Credit Risk Function in implementing the Early Alert process for monitoring and tracking of credit exposures.
• Conduct credit risk training to all stakeholders and ad hoc basis under the guidance of the Chief risk officer and heads.
• Implement any other duties assigned by the Head, SME Credit Risk Function.
• Serve also as a secretary of SME credit committee and a supervisor of SME CC liaison officer
• Facilitate and drive KBZ’s strategy of achieving nation-wide financial inclusion

• English Language (especially Reading, Writing)
• Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Must have knowledge and experience in banking & finance sector
• Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Business (or) English. Specialized in B. Com (or) BBM (or) BBA (or) B.A (Eng) or Any graduate with Accounting Certificate/Diploma
• Must have great reporting skills
• Work overtime if required

• At least 3 years of working experience in banking or business field

  (priority SME Lending experienced staff but At least Myanmar SME knowledge)
