Job Purpose:

This role is to ensure seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of the regional network infrastructure to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This includes maintaining a high network uptime, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring the profitability of the network sites while addressing customer complaints and market demands. The role also focuses on lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, and collaborative coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support new rollout, capacity expansion, infrastructure quality improvements and proactive planning to support business continuity. By balancing technical performance with business objectives, the role aims to enhance regional network reliability, scalability and profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high network uptime to ensure superior customer experience.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking to identify strengths and weaknesses in network performance.
  • Strategic network planning to enhance protection in business focus areas and work with planning team to implement solutions.
  • Develop and implement a robust Business Continuity Plan to ensure uninterrupted services in any circumstance.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining optimal network performance.
  • Drive field operations to resolve recurring network faults and enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor and conduct preventive maintenance of network elements across radio, transmission, and core sites.
  • Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules for all network elements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of core locations and sites to ensure infrastructure quality and compliance.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of network elements in the region, ensuring high-quality infrastructure and smooth operations.
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments for new rollout sites, capacity expansion, and infrastructure deployment.
  • Engage with site owners to ensure timely leasing contracts and payments.
  • Lead the acceptance process for new sites and projects, recommending best practices for project implementers.
  • Address customer complaints through field visits, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Identify market demands and collaborate with central teams to design and roll out solutions.
  • Act as the technology single point of contact (SPoC) to engage with domain owners including regional business team and facilitate on-ground activities.
  • Ensure alignment between operational teams, business teams, and central functions for seamless project execution.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in network operations, site management, and customer-centric roles in the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven expertise in lifecycle management, network topology, and operational cost optimization.

Key Skillsets

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure (radio, transmission, core).
  • Ability to set clear operational goals and align them with organizational objectives.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for recurring faults and network optimization.
  • Drive initiatives to convert LUT to HUT and balance OE with financial objectives to meet regional goals.
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay composed and lead the team effectively during crisis situations or high-priority incidents.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely execution.
  • Lead and inspire regional teams to deliver high performance in network operations.
  • Proactively identify and address recurring issues in network performance and operational processes.
  • Build strong relationships with partners, vendors and site owners to ensure smooth operations.

Other requirements:

  • Willing to be based in the Northwest region.
  • Flexible and able to travel within the Northwest region.
