Job Summary
A Pharmaceutical Trade Sales Manager drives commercial revenue by managing business-to-business relationships with pharmacies, distributors, and modern trade channels. They oversee product availability, negotiate trade terms, and lead sales representatives to ensure flawless execution of merchandising and promotional plans at the store level.

♦ Key Account Management: Build and manage relationships with pharmacy chains, procurement managers, and wholesale distributors to ensure optimal product placement and stock replenishment.
♦ Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Trade Sales Representatives (TSRs) or Medical Sales Reps. Conduct field coaching and monitor productivity metrics.
♦ Trade Promotions & Visibility: Negotiate eye-level shelf spaces, planograms, and point-of-sale (POS) displays with pharmacy partners. Maximize the visibility and ROI of trade marketing budgets.
♦ Sales Strategy & Forecasting: Develop territory-specific sales plans and allocate national targets. Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
♦ Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor launches, pricing changes, and inventory levels. Analyze data to spot new product opportunities and emerging healthcare trends.
♦ Compliance & Governance: Ensure all sales, promotional activities, and interactions adhere to strict pharmaceutical industry regulations and company guidelines.

Job Requirements

♦ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy
♦ Experience: Typically 3-5+ years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Prior experience in key account management is highly preferred.
♦ Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Deep understanding of buying patterns, stock cycles, and supply chain logistics in the pharmaceutical sector
