Market Expansion & Revenue Growth

  • Look for new customers, especially in sectors like fast-moving consumer goods and beverages.
  • Keep up with market changes, competitor moves, and customer feedback to spot new opportunities and work on clear, attractive service options and pricing that suit each customer's needs.
  • Build long-term relationships with businesses and decision-makers to create trust and ongoing partnerships.
  • Lead the development of strategic expansion plans, incorporating detailed investment proposals aimed at increasing market share and generating measurable revenue growth.

Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the transport department across all branches.
  • Ensure timely deliveries through efficient route planning and vehicle allocation.
  • Coordinate between departments to streamline workflows and minimize delays.
  • Maintain discipline and professionalism among drivers and operations staff, including implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor daily KPIs and trip allowances to ensure operational targets are met and take corrective actions where necessary.

Customer Service

  • Continuously evaluate and improve transport processes with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Implement strategies to improve service quality, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance driver behavior, safety, and customer interaction skills.

Maintenance

  • Lead and manage an in-house team of mechanics to ensure timely, high-quality maintenance for the entire fleet.
  • Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to reduce breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Monitor vehicle performance, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain accurate service records.
  • Maintain vehicle downtime below a defined threshold (e.g., under 3%) to maximize fleet availability and utilization.

Operational Optimization

  • Maximize fleet utilization by leveraging TMS (GPS, sensors, and cameras) to track performance and optimize routes based on demand patterns.
  • Continuously review and improve operational systems to enhance efficiency and boost overall performance.
  • Ensure all trucks meet licensing, registration, and regulatory standards, keeping documentation up to date with timely renewals.
  • Propose and implement improvements and process restructuring to align with company objectives.

Budget Management

  • Develop and oversee the annual budget for the transport department.
  • Regularly monitor financial performance against the budget, identify any discrepancies, and take prompt corrective actions.
  • Maintain tight cost control across key areas, including fuel, maintenance, staffing, and procurement.
  • Design and implement strategies for cost reduction to improve overall financial efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 - 6 years' experience working in the same position within a related background.
  • Willingness to reside at the company-provided hostel located in Thilawa Zone.
  • Availability to work extended hours in accordance with job requirements.
  • Proficiency in overseeing safety procedures and implementing Logistics and Transportation best practices.
  • Capability to oversee the Transport team and facilitate the recruitment of casual labor on a daily basis.
  • Strong analytical skills for monitoring daily transportation matters, evaluating data, and generating reports.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and effective interpersonal communication abilities, with a proven aptitude for team management and development.
  • Proficient in team control and labor management practices.
