Job Purpose
To assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, organizing, supervising, and controlling all maintenance activities to ensure continuous production operations, maximum machine availability, reduced downtime, timely repair completion, and effective utilization of maintenance resources while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and ISO/IATF management systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Maintenance Operations Management
•    Assist the Maintenance Manager in managing daily maintenance operations and departmental activities. 
•    Coordinate and supervise preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities. 
•    Ensure all production equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure are maintained in good operating condition. 
•    Monitor machine performance and take necessary actions to minimize downtime and production interruptions. 
•    Follow up and verify completion of maintenance tasks according to established schedules. 
2. Daily Work Planning & Supervision
•    Assign daily work duties to Maintenance Supervisors, Technicians, and Maintenance Staff. 
•    Conduct daily maintenance meetings and review work progress. 
•    Monitor completion status of assigned maintenance jobs and provide necessary technical guidance. 
•    Review shift handover reports and maintenance records. 
•    Inspect maintenance activities to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with standards. 
3. Preventive Maintenance Management
•    Implement and monitor Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Preventive Maintenance Plans. 
•    Ensure maintenance schedules are executed effectively and on time. 
•    Analyze maintenance history and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability. 
•    Develop maintenance checklists, inspection standards, and work instructions. 
4. Breakdown & Corrective Maintenance
•    Lead troubleshooting activities for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and automation-related issues. 
•    Ensure rapid response to machine breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations. 
•    Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions. 
•    Escalate major technical issues to the Maintenance Manager when necessary. 
5. Utility & Facility Management
•    Supervise maintenance of generators, air compressors, water pumps, electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and facility equipment. 
•    Monitor fuel consumption, utility performance, and equipment efficiency. 
•    Ensure utilities are operating safely and efficiently to support production requirements. 
6. Spare Parts & Inventory Control
•    Monitor availability and usage of local and imported spare parts. 
•    Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of maintenance materials and tools. 
•    Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse Departments for timely procurement of required spare parts. 
•    Recommend critical spare parts stock levels to avoid production disruptions. 
7. Training & Staff Development
•    Coach, train, and develop maintenance personnel to improve technical competencies. 
•    Conduct technical training programs for new employees and existing staff. 
•    Evaluate staff performance and identify development needs. 
•    Promote teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement culture within the department. 
8. Safety, Quality & Compliance
•    Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies. 
•    Promote safe work practices and monitor adherence to PPE requirements. 
•    Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, 5S, Kaizen, and other management systems. 
•    Participate in internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as required. 
9. Reporting & Documentation
•    Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports. 
•    Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, machine breakdowns, spare parts usage, and equipment history. 
•    Analyze maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs. 
•    Submit reports and recommendations to the Maintenance Manager. 
10. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
•    Control maintenance expenses within approved budgets. 
•    Ensure procurement requests and expenditures comply with company Financial Policies and Procedures. 
•    Support annual maintenance budget planning and cost optimization initiatives. 
11. Other Duties
•    Perform additional duties assigned by Management. 
•    Participate in departmental and cross-functional improvement projects. 
•    Support business continuity and emergency response activities when required.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification
•    Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 
•    AGTI, B.Tech, BE, or equivalent engineering qualification preferred. 

 

Experience Requirement
•    Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Maintenance, Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations. 

 

Technical Knowledge & Skills
•    Strong knowledge of Mechanical Maintenance and Electrical Maintenance. 
•    Knowledge of Electrical Power Systems and Electrical Control Systems. 
•    Experience with PLC Programming, Troubleshooting, and Automation Systems. 
•    Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems. 
•    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. 
•    Familiarity with AutoCAD and maintenance documentation. 
•    Understanding of Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance concepts. 

 

Computer Skills
•    Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
•    Maintenance reporting and record management systems. 
•    Basic PLC software applications and maintenance-related software. 


Language Requirement
•    Basic to Intermediate English proficiency. 

•    Ability to read technical manuals, maintenance documents, and engineering specifications.
