Key Responsibilities and Duties

Operational Management

• Lead and manage daily field operations activities across all assigned regions.
• Ensure the availability and reliability of fiber networks, ODN infrastructure, and backbone systems.
• Monitor operational performance and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and MTTR targets.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize service interruptions.
• Coordinate emergency restoration activities during major network outages.

Planning and Resource Management

• Develop annual and monthly maintenance plans aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor workforce utilization to optimize productivity and operational efficiency.
• Manage field tools, equipment, spare parts, and inventory requirements.
• Participate in budget planning and cost-control initiatives within the department.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or BE in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications related to fiber optics, project management, or telecommunications will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • AutoCAD
  • Google Earth
  • Network monitoring and reporting tools

Work Experience and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within field operations.
• Extensive knowledge of:
  • Fiber Optic Network Maintenance
  • ODN Network Operations
  • Backbone Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Fiber Splicing and OTDR Testing
  • Fault Management and Service Restoration
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven experience managing teams in high-pressure operational environments.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
