Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

  • Portfolio & Growth Management: Oversee the daily operations of the branch, drive loan disbursement targets, and manage the quality of the credit and savings portfolios.

  • Field Verification & Compliance: Supervise group formations and ensure strict physical verification of clients before loan approvals to mitigate operational and fraud risks.

  • Risk & Overdue Recovery: Monitor delinquency trends closely, implement immediate recovery strategies for overdue loans, and maintain an acceptable PAR level.

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and track the daily performance of Loan Officers and Credit Officers, facilitating on-the-job training and field safety compliance.

  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain smooth relations with local authorities, village/ward leaders, and community stakeholders to facilitate seamless field operations.

  • Financial Control: Manage branch cash flow, vault security, daily banking transactions, and ensure accurate financial reporting to the Head Office.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in microfinance, community banking, or credit operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant branch management role.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of group lending methodologies, risk assessment, client verification processes, and portfolio metrics. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is required.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. Strong integrity, negotiation capabilities, and resilience under field-pressure.

  • Mobility: Must be willing to travel extensively within rural or urban branch territories for client checks and center audits.
