The Payroll Manager (Group Level) is responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end payroll process across multiple companies within the group. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing, including salary, overtime, bonuses, deductions, tax, and statutory contributions. The role also ensures payroll governance, standardization, and integration across all subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Group Payroll Management
- Manage monthly payroll processing for all companies under the group
- Ensure accurate salary calculations, overtime, allowances, incentives, and deductions
- Consolidate payroll data across multiple business units (Retail, Manufacturing, Services, etc.)
- Ensure timely payroll execution within each company timeline
2. Payroll Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, labor laws, and social security requirements
- Manage income tax calculations, filings, and employee tax reporting
- Coordinate with government authorities and external auditors when required
- Maintain compliance with local labor and employment regulations
3. Payroll System & Data Management
- Maintain and optimize payroll systems/software across the group
- Ensure accurate employee data management (new hires, resignations, promotions, transfers)
- Integrate HRIS and attendance systems with payroll processing
- Ensure data security, confidentiality, and audit readiness
4. Financial Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with Finance teams for payroll budgeting and cost allocation
- Prepare payroll reports, variance analysis, and monthly payroll summaries
- Allocate payroll costs accurately to each business unit and cost center
- Support financial audits with payroll documentation and reconciliation
5. Employee Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Manage salary structure implementation across group companies
- Administer bonuses, incentives, commissions, and annual increments
- Handle employee benefit deductions (insurance, loans, advances, etc.)
- Ensure fairness and consistency in compensation policies
6. Process Improvement & Standardization
- Develop standardized payroll policies across all group companies
- Improve efficiency through automation and system integration
- Reduce payroll errors and processing delays
- Implement best practices in payroll governance and reporting
7. Team Management
- Lead and supervise payroll executives across different business units
- Provide training and development for payroll and HR staff
- Assign responsibilities and ensure performance KPIs are met
