Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

  • Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents based on drawings and project specifications.

  • Review and analyze tender submissions, quotations, and contract documents to support procurement and award recommendations.

  • Conduct cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting throughout project stages.

  • Evaluate variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring accurate cost and time impact assessments.

  • Prepare and process interim valuations, progress payments, and final accounts in coordination with project and finance teams.

  • Monitor project expenditure and maintain up-to-date cost records and financial reports.

  • Assist in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers regarding contractual and commercial matters.

  • Ensure all work complies with contract conditions, project specifications, and company policies.

  • Support the Project Manager and Cost Manager in financial planning, risk assessment, and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; professional certification (MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is an advantage.

  • 5–8 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost control, preferably in construction or engineering projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC), cost estimation methods, and procurement processes.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CANDY, or similar).

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Chinese and other languages is an advantage.
