Job Overview

Coordinating volume blue-collar recruitment of Site personnel to meet a targeted monthly intake. To succeed in this role, you will require attributes across process enhancement, administration, and a strong customer service focus. This role is responsible for the recruitment of our core workforce and has a direct impact on the success of our operations and customer experience.

 

Responsibilities & Authorities 

Recruitment channel development

  • Identify multiple recruitment channels (traditional & digital)
  • Assess acquisition cost and return on investment (ROI)
  • Develop a complementary set of acquisition channels
  • Ensuring vacancies are posted internally and externally to the relevant channels, ensuring position advertisement reaches target audience and ROI is realized from selected channel(s)
  • Run regular periodic recruitment campaigns, anticipating peak requirements through liaison with function heads and workforce planning consideration

Candidate selection

  • Collaborate with Operations Management team to define the recruitment needs for site personnel
  • Identification of suitable candidates according to the job description, minimum recruitment standards and company culture
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and screening
  • Prepare short list of recommended candidates
  • Proactively manage interview scheduling with Operations Management team
  • Participate in interviews with the hiring manager, ensuring interview standards are followed
  • Collect feedback from hiring manager
  • Provide constructive feedback to the candidate
  • In collaboration with the Hiring Manager and Head of Human Resources, propose a suitable salary within the agreed salary banding
  • Negotiation and closing of offers directly with candidates, presenting a total value proposition, highlighting remuneration, benefits, future career opportunities 

Onboarding & Internal communication

  • Onboard new starters, ensuring awareness of company policies, guidelines and systems
  • Lead the HR orientation program for Site personnel, coordinating with Operations Management for handover to the Security Officer Trainee Employment Program
  • Ensure personal details are collected and securely stored using Microsoft Teams to facilitate payroll, taxation and next of kin requirements
  • Ensure new Site Personnel will receive all relevant equipment, uniforms or others required to perform the assigned tasks and duties

Disciplinary Committee

  • Attend weekly disciplinary committee meeting, acting as the HR representative, with Operations Management team to decide the required action as per Myanmar Labour Law
  • With the coordination with Operations management team to prepare warning letter, dismissed letter, Site transfer Letter, promotion letter for Site Personnel.
  • Ensure all actions and decisions are tracked from the disciplinary committee meeting and reported to management

Contracting

  • Prepare employment contract (Myanmar labor contract) for all local employees and store it in personal file as per the employment checklist.
  • Maintain Employment Tracker for both Head Office employees and Site personnel in accurate and timely manner

Reporting

  • Inform Compensation & Benefits team for staffing report in accurate and timely manner. This should include new hires, resigned staff and transfers and promotions.
  • Working closely with Commercial team to provide necessary HR related documents as per Client request.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in HRM, Business Administration, General Management, Psychology or related field​ 
  • Myanmar National
  • At least 1 year up experience in Recruitment & Selection
  • Experience in Recruitment & Selection within a high-volume, blue-collar environment necessary
  • Strong command both written and spoken in English​ 
  • Pleasant personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Solid computer skills, HRIS & Microsoft Excel mandatory 
  • Result-oriented, independent, responsible and team player
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained across sensitive employee information and that all data is securely stored
