Job Description

Business & Revenue Leadership

  • Develop an annual Life Insurance business strategy aligned with bank targets and drive FYP growth across protection, savings, and credit-life segments
  • Set branch-wise, zone-wise, and division-wise targets
  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly performance dashboard (New, case count - size, persistency)
  • Drive penetration, productivity, case size growth, and policy persistency improvement

Sales Governance & Performance Management

  • Design structured sales rhythm: Daily tracking, Weekly pipeline review, and Monthly performance
  • Track: Conversion rate, Lead quality ratio, Average case size, Active branch, and Persistency ratios
  • Identify underperforming branches and implement a recovery plan
  • Improve sales pipeline coverage and velocity
  • Validate monthly FYP production before incentive payout

Channel Development & Activation

  • Strengthen branch-based financial advisory selling model
  • Drive: Protection-focused campaigns, Family protection, Savings & retirement activation programs
  • Ensure quality leads generation from: High-value depositors, Loan customers, Payroll customers,Corporations and Digital Inquiries
  • Promote needs-based advisory approach to close protection gap
  • Improve service-initiated sales culture and referral discipline

Partner Management

  • Lead joint business planning with life insurance partners
  • Negotiate annual targets, incentive schemes, and activation budget
  • Align on product innovation (protection-led products, riders, simplified underwriting)
  • Monitor SLA, underwriting TAT, medical clearance efficiency, and claim experience
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with a focus on persistency and quality ratio, Product & Portfolio Management
  • Identify protection gap opportunities and propose new life products
  • Optimize product mix to improve: Protection ratio and Margin contribution
  • Ensure product clarity, benefit illustration transparency, and suitability alignment

Risk, Compliance & Customer Experience

  • Ensure full regulatory compliance and proper needs analysis documentation
  • Reduce complaints, mis-selling risk, and early policy lapse
  • Strengthen declaration clarity, suitability assessment, and financial underwriting standards
  • Monitor claim experience feedback loop and customer retention indicators

People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Coach and develop Life Insurance sales teams and relationship officers
  • Drive advisory-based selling skills and protection gap analysis training
  • Build second-line leadership and strengthen the financial consultant mindset
  • Foster a long-term, sustainable sales culture focused on quality and persistence

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in bancassurance, sales, business development, and branch management.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and people management.
  • Excellent understanding of the local market and insurance products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent in communication, negotiation, and strategy implementation.
  • Ability to travel frequently to assigned branches and work under pressure to lead the sales teams.
