The One World International School (OWIS) is a Cambridge curriculum school in Yangon offering primary through to IGCSE and A-Level programmes. We are looking for a reliable, people-oriented HR Staff / HR Manager to manage the human resources function of the school. This is a hands-on role covering recruitment, staff welfare, records management, and labour law compliance. You will work closely with school leadership and support the day-to-day running of the non-academic team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment, onboarding, and contracts for local non-teaching staff
  • Maintain staff records, attendance, and leave management
  • Handle staff welfare matters and support a positive working environment
  • Ensure compliance with Myanmar labour law and internal HR policies
  • Coordinate with department heads on staffing needs and HR matters
  • Support payroll preparation and liaise with finance as needed
  • Organise and maintain HR documentation and filing systems
  • Assist leadership with performance review processes and staff communications

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in HR, admin, or people management
  • College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Familiar with Myanmar labour law and standard HR practices
  • Experience in a school, NGO, hospitality, or service environment is preferred
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills — able to deal with staff and leadership professionally
  • Good English — written and spoken
  • Dependable, discreet, and calm under pressure
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Myanmar nationals strongly encouraged to apply
