Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Human Resources is responsible for supporting and managing daily HR operations, ensuring effective implementation of HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. HR Operations & Administration
    • Responsibility for daily HR operations including attendance, leave management, employee records, and HR documentation.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personal files (hard copy & soft copy).
    • Ensure HR processes are implemented in line with company policies and procedures.
  2. Employee Relations & Discipline
    • Assist in handling employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and internal complaints.
    • Coordinate disciplinary actions in accordance with company rules, regulations, and labor laws.
    • Support management in maintaining positive and professional employee relations.
  3. Performance Management & HR Reporting
    • Coordinate performance appraisal processes and follow up on evaluation timelines.
    • Prepare and submit HR reports such as monthly HR overview, manpower status, attendance, and turnover reports.
    • Support HR KPI / OKR tracking and reporting.
  4. Training & Development
    • Coordinate internal and external training programs based on approved training plans.
    • Maintain training records and prepare post-training reports.
  5. Compliance & Policy Implementation
    • Ensure compliance with Myanmar Labor Law and internal HR policies.
    • Assist in reviewing, updating, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
    • Coordinate with relevant authorities when required (labor office, social security, etc.).
  6. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
    • Support payroll preparation, overtime calculation, and benefits administration.
    • Coordinate social security, leave benefits, and employee welfare matters.
  7. Other Duties
    • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned by HR Manager or Management.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional HR certification is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience in HR operations, employee relations, or general HR functions.
  • Experience in payroll coordination, compliance, and performance management is preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR operations and labor law.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
