ROLE PURPOSE

The Vice President – Partnership & Performance is responsible for governing and optimizing Yoma Bank’s partner-based distribution ecosystem, covering Agent Banking partners and the strategic partnership with Wave. The role owns partner governance, commercial performance, and KPI discipline across agent outlets, corporate cash collection, consumer cash-in/cash-out (CICO), and Wave Care Center (WCC) services, ensuring sustainable growth, service quality, and regulatory compliance in support of Community Banking objectives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage partner governance for agent banking and Wave, including partner onboarding standards, operating expectations, contractual compliance, and escalation frameworks.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for Wave and key agent partners on performance, service governance, and improvement matters.
  • Define and cascade performance KPIs and business targets across agent outlets and Wave-based channels, covering volumes, service quality, customer experience, and compliance.
  • Monitor performance through structured reporting and reviews, working with operations teams to address underperformance and execution gaps.
  • Design and manage commercial models, pricing, and incentive structures across agent banking, corporate collections, and consumer CICO services.
  • Oversee performance of Wave-delivered services, including corporate cash collection, mass-market CICO, and WCC-based services.
  • Ensure transaction reliability, settlement discipline, service consistency, and alignment with Corporate, Commercial, and SME banking requirements.
  • Use data-driven insights to support network optimization, corrective actions, partner rationalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with channel operations and integration teams to ensure performance targets are supported by operational capability.
  • Support the VP – Lead Channel Distribution & Delivery in planning, performance reviews, and management reporting.

Job Requirements

Education & Special Training

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

Desirable

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent). Professional certifications in banking, finance, or risk management

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banking, financial services, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing partner-based distribution channels, agent networks, or branch operations.
  • Experience in performance management, commercial negotiations, and stakeholder coordination.

Desirable

  • Prior experience in community banking, retail banking distribution, or MSME banking.
  • Experience working with fintechs, MFS providers, or third-party distribution partners.

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Strong understanding of agent banking, or alternative distribution models.
  • Proven capability in partner management, commercial structuring, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI setting, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations in partner-based banking.

Desirable

  • Experience with agent-based ecosystems.
  • Exposure to incentive design, commission structures, and productivity models.
  • Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments.

Languages

Essential

  • Proficiency in Myanmar and English (spoken and written).
